After Charlie Kirk’s memorial, a lot of progressives were worried this would be a huge recruiting moment for MAGA. I’m more skeptical, for various reasons. In this week’s “Standing Room Only,” I address one big reason why: I don’t think Erika Kirk can replicate her husband’s phony debate tactics.

Debates aren’t persuasive: change my mind

My guest this week is Drew McCoy, aka the Genetically Modified Skeptic. He’s a critic of the public debate tactics used by Kirk and plenty of others. In this clip, he argues that having conversations away from cameras is the best way to persuade people.
